We understand the critical nature of every job we do. Very seldom, if ever, will a client tell us they are in no hurry for their material. Therefore, every job we perform is expedited through our process and further explanation about urgency is not necessary. Certainly, if you are one of the odd cases that doesn't care when their job is returned, do tell us please.
Process and Definitions:
- Incoming Jobs - Jobs that are shipped or delivered by courier to NPI are scanned when they are received and placed into a FIFO queue
- Queue Time - Queue time is the number of days a job remains in its original carton before being opened and processed.
- Order Process - In FIFO order, cartons are opened, matched with their PO and client job information form, triaged, assigned an Order ID and packlist/labels are printed. This process takes only a few minutes if the customers' paperwork is accurate. When client information is missing, the job is removed from the queue and placed in the non-conforming area until the client remedies the situation.
- Tape & Reel Processing Queue- Once assigned an Order ID, the job is staged in the production area until an operator is available to start work. Work begins within a few hours of assignment.
- De-Tape and Bake Queue -Several factors make this process more difficult to estimate, including bake time, availability of de-tape resources, time window for re-taping and volume of work ahead of the bake job.
- Shipping -After tape & reel, jobs are moved to shipping. Jobs completed before 3:00 are shipped and taken to the respective carrier centers. Jobs completed after 3:00 are shipped but will not be picked up until the next day.
